2020 Tour de Pologne – here are the new dates

The Tour de Pologne will be raced from 5 to 9 August and will be the first stage race to open up the 2020 calendar following the interruption due to the COVID-19.

According to the new UCI calendar, the race will be reduced to five stages from the seven originally planned so as to leave room on the calendar for the other re-scheduled races.

In the coming weeks the Lang Team will be working in collaboration with the Polish institutions and the UCI to design a route that can guarantee the high-quality standard and technical level that meet the needs of modern professional cycling, yet within the limits imposed by the circumstances and in compliance with the sanitary regulations.

Further details will be released in due time.

This news has given us hope and has lifted our spirits” Czesław Lang said. “To have some dates to be back to racing is very important for everyone, the sponsors, the organization and the cycling community. Of course, the situation is under constant monitoring and of course depends of the evolution of the situation and in particular the decisions of  the Polish government. The priority is to safeguard public health, ensuring that the competition can be performed in full safety, under the constraints that the government will decide upon. For now, we are glad that the UCI has given us this opportunity and the organization is already at work to guarantee a new route we will soon unveil in all its details.”
