In addition to the World Tour licensed teams, each edition of the Tour de Pologne invites several teams via wild cards. This year, the start list will once again include the Polish national team, as well as the Tudor Pro Cycling Team and the two best second-division teams from last year: Lotto and Israel \u2013 Premier Tech.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Less than two months remain until the start of the 82nd Tour de Pologne, and the start list is taking shape. Traditionally, all 18 UCI WorldTour teams will compete on Polish roads due to the race’s highest status in the Union Cycliste Internationale calendar.<\/p>\n

The organizer also has the right to invite other teams. This year, four teams received wild cards, allowing them to participate in the Tour de Pologne \u2014 the largest cycling event in the region. For years, the Polish national team has competed in the UCI World Tour race, actively showcasing their strength alongside the world’s best cyclists. Last year, Micha\u0142 Paluta won the mountain classification, and Polish champion Norbert Banaszek was recognized as the most active rider.<\/p>\n

This year will be no different \u2014 the Polish squad is again on the Tour de Pologne team list.<\/p>\n

Due to current UCI regulations, the best second-division teams from the previous season also have the right to participate in UCI WorldTour races. Therefore, this year\u2019s Tour de Pologne team list will be enriched by Israel \u2013 Premier Tech and Lotto, which have regularly appeared and achieved significant success in previous editions. For example, Tim Wellens won the general classification in 2016 riding for the Belgian team.<\/p>\n

The start list of the 82nd Tour de Pologne will also include the Swiss Tudor Pro Cycling Team, which has been climbing the cycling hierarchy for years. This year, the team led by Fabian Cancellara \u2014 one of the greatest cyclists in history \u2014 acquired former world champion Julian Alaphilippe and Marc Hirschi, who are key strengths of the ambitious squad.<\/p>\n

\u2014 I am very happy that the best teams in the world are coming to the Tour de Pologne. The race is part of the UCI WorldTour, so traditionally, teams from the highest division will be here. At the start, we will also see Lotto, Israel \u2014 Premier Tech, and Tudor Pro Cycling, which are teams belonging to the highest level of cycling. Once again, we are also giving the Polish national team the opportunity to compete, so that riders who do not compete in races of this rank on a daily basis can show their skills to a wide audience \u2014 said Czes\u0142aw Lang, General Director of the Tour de Pologne.<\/em><\/p>\n

Thus, the team list will feature 22 very strong teams, underlining the Tour de Pologne’s status as one of the most important races worldwide. The national tour will take place from August 4 to 10, with the route presentation scheduled for Friday, June 13 at 6:00 PM on TVP Sport<\/p>\n
