All cards have been revealed. On Tuesday, the route of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour was presented. 7 stages await the elite riders, which will determine the winner of the ORLEN General Classification. The race will start on August 3rd in Gdynia and will end after 7 days of competition with an individual time trial at the \u201eWieliczka\u201d Salt Mine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have learned the route of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The most important cycling event in this part of Europe will once again take place in Poland, attracting top teams with the discipline’s stars to the country. The race is scheduled for August 3-9, and this year’s competition will be held under the slogan “North-South”, corresponding to the course of the route.<\/p>\n

As previously announced, the race will begin in the coastal city of Gdynia, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The day before, the team presentation will take place on the deck of the ORLEN ship ORP “B\u0142yskawica”. On the first day of competition, cyclists will face a long, 234-kilometer section along the roads of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The route will lead through hilly terrain, as evidenced by the elevation gain \u2013 over 2000 meters vertically.<\/p>\n

Along the way, cyclists will fight for LOTTO Sprint Primes in Kartuzy, Byt\u00f3w and Polan\u00f3w, Special Sprints in Parchowo, Ko\u0142czyg\u0142owy (Czes\u0142aw Lang Special Prime) and K\u0119pice (S\u0142upsk Discrict Governor Special Sprint). Who will start the next section wearing the leader’s jersey of the mountain classification will be decided by the Mountain Prime on G\u00f3ra Che\u0142mska.<\/p>\n

In Koszalin, where the stage finish is planned, we will find out the first leaders of the ORLEN General Classification, the LOTTO Most Active Rider, the Decathlon Team Classification, and the ORLEN VITAY Best Polish Rider Award.<\/p>\n

The next day, the peloton will start again from the Baltic Sea \u2013 this time from Mi\u0119dzyzdroje, from where it will cover a 150-kilometer route to Szczecin. The stage will favor the fastest riders in the peloton. However, before the riders fight for the stage victory, they will compete in the LOTTO Sprint Primes in Kamie\u0144 Pomorski, Nowogard and Goleni\u00f3w, as well as the Grupa Transportowa Special Prime.<\/p>\n

In line with the race’s slogan, the picturesque peloton will continue its journey south in the following days. The next stage will lead along a 193-kilometer route from Gorz\u00f3w Wielkopolski to Zielona G\u00f3ra. The organizers have once again scheduled 3 LOTTO Sprint Primes \u2013 in cities with rich cycling traditions: Strzelce Kraje\u0144skie, \u015awiebodzin, and Sulech\u00f3w. Additionally, Special Primes have been placed in Skwierzyna and Mi\u0119dzyrzecz, and in Przytok \u2013 near the finish line \u2013 a Mountain Prime.<\/p>\n

The fourth stage will the first mountain challenge, and the riders’ endurance will be tested by the picturesque yet demanding routes of Lower Silesia. The competitors will start from \u017baga\u0144 and will have to cover 175 kilometers on rising terrain. The finish line will be located in an iconic place \u2013 at Orlinek in Karpacz, where a year ago Frenchman Paul Lapeira claimed a spectacular victory and where Alberto Contador, Matej Mohori\u010d, or Thibau Nys triumphed previously. Earlier in the stage, riders will fight for Mountain Primes in Antoni\u00f3w, Borowice and Karpacz, as well as Special Primes sponsored by DPD and Hotel Seidorf.<\/p>\n

This will not be the end of the demanding stages! The following day, cyclists will face a nearly 220-kilometer stage from Opole to Kocierz Resort. On the route, riders competing in the LOTTO Most Active Rider Classification will be able to increase their points tally, thanks to 3 LOTTO Intermediate Primes \u2013 in Ujazd, Pisarzowice in the Wilamowice Municipality, and Bielsko-Bia\u0142a, the Polish Capital of Culture. In addition to this, a DPD Special Sprint will await the cyclists. The final section, packed with climbs, will culminate in the final ascent to Kocierz Resort, which is sure to deliver plenty of excitement for the fans! Earlier, the riders will tackle climbs up G\u00f3ra \u015aw. Anny and Przegibek Pass, designated as Mountain Primes.<\/p>\n

The sixth stage promises an exciting battle in well-known terrain. The dynamic BUKOVINA Resort-Bukowina Tatrza\u0144ska route will measure only 126 kilometers, but nearly 3000 meters of elevation gain will impress any cycling fan. The stage, with climbs designated as Mountain Sprints in Leszczyny, S\u0142odyczki, Pitoni\u00f3wka and on the iconic BUKOVINA Wall in Gliczar\u00f3w, will be extremely demanding and it is not impossible that it will turn the ORLEN General Classification upside down. Additionally, a LOTTO Intermediate Prime has been placed on the route in Bia\u0142y Dunajec. A year ago in Bukowina Tatrza\u0144ska, Victor Langellotti from Monaco triumphed, and the list of winners includes such celebrities as Rafa\u0142 Majka, Remco Evenepoel, or Simon Yates. On the same day \u2013 August 8th \u2013 the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs \u2013 Ryszard Szurkowski Memorial will also take place.<\/p>\n

The answer to the question of who will become the winner of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour will be provided by stage number 7 \u2013 an individual time trial with both the start and finish at the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine. As in the previous year, it will be a display of speed and a battle of competitors against their rivals and their own bodies. The 12.4-kilometer route is a distance where one can be tempted to gain time over the most dangerous rivals in the fight for victory!<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s not all! Before that, young talents from the youth categories will compete in Tour de Pologne Junior \u2013 Marian Wi\u0119ckowski Memorial, accompanying the main race at stage finishes in Koszalin (3rd August), Szczecin (4th August), and Zielona G\u00f3ra (5th August).<\/p>\n

The route of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour heralds a spectacle that cannot be missed. The race will take place from August 3rd to 9th and will be broadcast on the channels of TVP, Eurosport and the streaming platform HBO Max, providing access to the live coverage to fans all around the world.<\/p>\n
