This year’s 83nd Tour de Pologne will be held under the motto “North-South” and will begin by the Baltic Sea \u2013 literally. On August 2nd, a ceremonial team presentation will take place aboard the ORP “B\u0142yskawica” ship and the next day the competitors will set off from Gdynia to Koszalin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Great professional cycling in Poland is coming soon! From August 3rd to 9th, the world’s best teams featuring major stars will compete on the route of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The competition will be inaugurated by a long and demanding stage from Gdynia to Koszalin, similar to the ones the competitors raced on in 2001 and 2002.<\/p>\n

The start of the stage will be hosted by Gdynia, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. There, on the eve of the competition \u2013 August 2nd \u2013 the ceremonial team presentation will take place. It will be a truly unique event, as the teams and competitors will be presented aboard the ORP “B\u0142yskawica” ship. The following day, they will set off on a 234-kilometer route, leading through the roads of Kashubia and Pomerania.<\/p>\n

Three LOTTO Sprint Primes are located along the route \u2013 in Kartuzy, Byt\u00f3w, and Polan\u00f3w \u2013 as well as three Special Primes: in Parchowo, Ko\u0142czyg\u0142owy (the Czes\u0142aw Lang Special Prime), and K\u0119pice (the Mayor of S\u0142upsk District Special Sprint). The first stage will also determine the leader of the Best Climber Classification thanks to a 3rd category Mountain Prime on G\u00f3ra Che\u0142mska, located just a few kilometers before the finish line.<\/p>\n

The final showdown will take place on the streets of Koszalin, a Pomeranian city famous for its Gothic architecture. In the past, winners there have included Angelo Furlan and Andrus Aug. This year’s stage winner will also don the yellow jersey of the ORLEN General Classification leader on the podium. There will be plenty to fight for!<\/p>\n

The starting line of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour will feature, among others, 18 UCI WorldTour teams and the Polish national team. Each of the 7 stages will be broadcast live on TVP and Eurosport, as well as on the HBO Max streaming platform, ensuring it reaches fans in 65 countries and promotes Poland and top-level cycling all over the world!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
