During a press conference held at BUKOVINA Resort on 2 July, Tour de Pologne and BUKOVINA Resort officially signed a partnership agreement and unveiled the detailed routes of both events that will once again make Bukowina Tatrza\u0144ska the capital of Polish cycling on 8 August 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The conference was hosted by sports journalist Adam Probosz. Representing Tour de Pologne were Czes\u0142aw Lang, General Director of Tour de Pologne, El\u017cbieta Lang, Media Office Director, and Alain Mompert, Honorary Consul of France in Pomerania and a long-time ambassador of the race. BUKOVINA Resort was represented by its Presidents, Edward Kuchta and Piotr Kuchta.<\/p>\n

Official Partnership Agreement Signed<\/strong><\/p>\n

The highlight of the conference was the official signing of the partnership agreement between Tour de Pologne and BUKOVINA Resort, confirming the continuation of a long-standing and successful collaboration.<\/p>\n

For many years, Bukowina Tatrza\u0144ska has held a special place on the Tour de Pologne route. It is here that the General Classification has often been decided, while the list of stage winners includes some of the biggest names in world cycling, such as Rafa\u0142 Majka, Remco Evenepoel and Simon Yates.<\/p>\n

The meeting also covered all key aspects of organising both events, including the race routes, logistics and safety, media engagement, the promotion of the Podhale region, and the attractions prepared for the thousands of fans expected to gather along the course and at the finish lines on 8 August.<\/p>\n

The Queen Stage of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stage 6 of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, starting at BUKOVINA Resort and finishing in Bukowina Tatrza\u0144ska, will once again serve as the race’s traditional Queen Stage. Covering 126 kilometres with nearly 3,000 metres of elevation gain, it promises to be one of the decisive days of the race.<\/p>\n

The route features four PZU Mountain Prime climbs\u2014Sierockie, S\u0142odyczki, Pitoni\u00f3wka and the iconic BUKOVINA Wall\u2014as well as the LOTTO Intermediate Sprint in Bia\u0142y Dunajec. The decisive finale includes a lap featuring the legendary BUKOVINA Wall in Gliczar\u00f3w, before the uphill finish in Bukowina Tatrza\u0144ska, where the ORLEN General Classification could well be decided.<\/p>\n

“Together with Czes\u0142aw, we designed a new version of the route to make it even more attractive for the riders while reducing its impact on local residents. It is a huge undertaking, involving accommodation for riders, organisers and technical teams, continuous improvements to the road surfaces, and close cooperation with local municipalities and county authorities to ensure the highest possible road quality<\/em>,” said Edward Kuchta, President of BUKOVINA Resort.<\/p>\n

“Year after year, the race continues to raise the profile of our region thanks to television broadcasts reaching audiences not only across Poland but around the world. It is an outstanding promotion for Podhale. We can already see the results\u2014cyclists arrive here from early spring to train and stay, and we increasingly welcome riders from the international peloton. Investing in sport is simply a smart investment<\/em>,” he added.<\/p>\n

ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs \u2013 Ryszard Szurkowski Memorial<\/strong><\/p>\n

The same day will also see cycling enthusiasts take to the roads of Podhale. The ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs \u2013 Ryszard Szurkowski Memorial will be held for the sixteenth time, further strengthening its position as one of Poland’s premier amateur cycling events.<\/p>\n

The race offers amateur cyclists a unique opportunity to compete on exactly the same roads that the world’s top professionals will tackle later that day. Both the start and the finish will be located at BUKOVINA Resort.<\/p>\n

“On the very same day and on the very same course as the professionals, amateur cyclists will take on the challenge. We expect more than 2,000 participants. Every year this event becomes more popular and has earned an iconic status among cycling enthusiasts. Both races bring us closer to the fans, and the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs allows everyone to feel part of the biggest cycling event in Poland. The route and its safety standards are of the highest level. A dedicated fan zone will be created on Rusi\u0144ski Wierch, and I warmly invite everyone to cheer on both the ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs participants and the riders competing in the professional race,” said Czes\u0142aw Lang, General Director of Tour de Pologne.<\/p>\n

A Celebration of Cycling and Regional Promotion<\/strong><\/p>\n

The organisers emphasised that the partnership between Tour de Pologne and BUKOVINA Resort represents not only world-class sporting competition but also a powerful promotional platform for Bukowina Tatrza\u0144ska and the entire Podhale region.<\/p>\n

Television broadcasts of Tour de Pologne reach millions of viewers around the world, showcasing the spectacular scenery of the Tatra Mountains and highlighting the region’s tourism potential. Fans will also enjoy activity zones, entertainment and numerous accompanying attractions in the race village throughout the day.<\/p>\n

The 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour<\/strong> will take place from 3\u20139 August 2026<\/strong> under the slogan “North\u2013South.”<\/strong><\/p>\n
