It appears that sprinters will be the first to contend for the ORLEN general classification leader’s jersey. However, on day two of the 82nd Tour de Pologne, riders who specialize in tougher terrain will take the spotlight.

The riders face a demanding and intense stage that starts at the Hotel Gołębiewski Karpacz Karpacz. From there, the peloton heads into the challenging climbs of the Sudetes. Riders will tackle the climbs to Kowarska Pass and Średnica Pass twice – both marked as Category II PZU Mountain Primes. At the same time, the brave and active riders will have chances to battle for the LOTTO Sprint Primes in Kamienna Góra and Czarny Bór and the Decathlon Special Prime in Lubawka.

The final PZU Mountain Prime comes just 20 kilometers before the finish – but that won’t be the last challenge. Just 5 kilometers from the finish line, riders will face the Hotel Seidorf Special Prime, which – as last year – is located on the iconic climb to Orlinek. The climb in Karpacz has seen many memorable victories, including those of a young Alberto Contador, Matej Mohorič, and last year’s wins by Thibau Nys and Tim Wellens. Who will emerge victorious this time?
