It’s no secret that Kraków is to the Tour de Pologne what Paris is to the Tour de France. The 81st edition of the race traditionally concludes at the Kraków Błonia, where sprinters are expected to compete for the victory once again. Recent history remembers a successful breakaway on the relatively flat stage finishing in Kraków, so any scenario cannot be ruled out here.

Riders will start the final stage from the Wieliczka Salt Mine, then head towards Myślenice, where the first LOTTO intermediate sprint will be located. Cyclists will have one chance to earn points towards the PZU mountain classification on the climb in Bieńkówka, and later in the race they will compete for special prizes sponsored by Decathlon and Soudal, respectively in Czernichów and Kaszów.

Everything will conclude with three laps around Błonia. In recent years, sprinters from the peloton have won there, such as Arnaud Demare, Davide Ballerini, Pascal Ackermann, and Peter Sagan.

“On the last day, we will start from the Wieliczka Salt Mine. The stage will pass through beautiful terrain, and traditionally, the finish will be at Błonia. We say that Kraków is to the Tour de Pologne what Paris is to the Tour de France, and we want to maintain this tradition,” said Czesław Lang.
