The penultimate stage of the 81st Tour de Pologne will be considered the queen stage. The peloton will cover 183 kilometers over the climbs of Małopolska, starting in Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope John Paul II. After commencing the race in this city, the riders will head towards the famous route near Bukowina Tatrzańska and BUKOVINA Resort.

Along the route, there will be two intermediate sprints sponsored by LOTTO – in Jabłonka and Szaflary. Points towards the PZU mountain classification will be contested on Category I climbs in Gliczarów Górny and Rzepiska, including the renowned and challenging Harnaś and Bukovina Walls.

The finish line at BUKOVINA Resort will test all riders, with the victory being sought after by pure climbers. Previous winners at Bukowina Tatrzańska include Rafał Majka, Remco Evenepoel, Joao Almeida, Simon Yates, and Matej Mohorič.

“We start in Wadowice – we want to honor the city where the great Pole, Pope John Paul II, was born. We will pass through Przełęcz Krowiarki and Szaflary, and then enter the well-known circuit that cycling enthusiasts are very familiar with. The finish will be at BUKOVINA Resort, after passing climbs such as Gliczarów, Ściana Harnaś, the same place where Rafał Majka and Remco Evenepoel have won before. This stage will be dedicated to those who may not be completely satisfied with their general classification. It will be a queen stage that can change everything,” said Czesław Lang, General Director of the Tour de Pologne.
