Tadej Pogačar and UAE Team Emirates-XRG Top the 2026 Season UCI Rankings!
Last weekend officially marked the end of the Union Cycliste Internationale road season. We now know the final outcomes of the UCI rankings. In the men’s category, Tadej Pogačar took the victory, and the Slovenian’s team UAE Team Emirates-XRG once again claimed first place among the teams.
From January to October, riders competed on roads around the world, battling for points toward the Union Cycliste Internationale ranking. For several seasons now, these points have been vital not only for prestige, but also in deciding the lineup of the top-tier UCI WorldTeams division and mandatory invitations to UCI WorldTour races – including the Tour de Pologne.
Just as in previous years, Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar of UAE Team Emirates-XRG proved unmatched in the men’s elite ranking, racking up over 2,000 more points than second-placed Remco Evenepoel of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe. Another UAE rider, Isaac del Toro, rounded out the podium.
The Middle Eastern team proved to be the strongest in the team classification, besting Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe and Team Visma | Lease a Bike, among others. The highest-ranked Polish rider in the individual standings was Stanisław Aniołkowski (Cofidis), who finished in 152nd place.
The team registration process is currently underway. Once concluded, we will learn the final composition of the UCI WorldTour division as well as the mandatory invitations for the top UCI ProTeams squads. At that point, we will also know the names of the 18 teams from the “cycling champions league” that will compete next year in the 84th Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The Polish race is scheduled to take place from August 2 to 8.
