Czesław Lang with the UN award

This award is a pride, an honour, but also a confirmation that the work I do with my team and partners makes sense – said Czesław Lang, who received the UN award during BikeExpo in Warsaw.

The award was granted by the United Nations for outstanding achievements in cycling, business and sports, and the promotion of cycling in the world through the organisation of various races, especially the Tour de Pologne, which Czesław Lang has managed for over a quarter of a century.
– I know that only fifteen people from the world of cycling on all continents have received such an award. Among them there are such figures as Eddy Merckx or Tadej Pogačar – says the vice Olympic champion from Moscow and emphasizes that the award is not only his.

– I do not work alone, I have great people around me who put their heart into what they do and partners who are not only sponsors but also create the Tour de Pologne family. With most of them we have known each other for years, we know we can count on each other. And the new ones, who keep appearing, quickly learn that we are able to combine professional sport with promotion – says Czesław Lang, who a few years ago became the UN “Architect of Sustainable Development”.

This time, on the occasion of BikeExpo, all fans can meet him and talk about the career of the first professional cyclist from our part of the world, but also about our national race, which will be held this year for the 79th time, under the motto “Race for Peace”.
