Presentation of the 82nd Tour de Pologne and 3rd TdP Women on June 13
We will soon learn the details of the route for this year’s 82nd Tour de Pologne and Tour de Pologne Women. The presentation of both elite cycling races organized by Lang Team will take place on Friday, June 13 at 6:00 PM on TVP Sport. For fans, it will be an opportunity to get to know the stages where the world’s best male and female cyclists will compete in August.
The Tour de Pologne has long been a staple of the UCI World Tour — the most prestigious cycling series, which also includes the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. Every August, the world’s top teams and riders come to Poland to compete for the yellow jersey in picturesque settings.
This year will be no different. The 82nd Tour de Pologne will take place from August 4 to 10 and promises to be exciting. The route of the week-long race will be revealed on June 13 on TVP Sport at 6:00 PM. At the same time, we will learn the details of the 3rd Tour de Pologne Women, which has become a permanent fixture in the international calendar and will take place just 2 days after the men’s race ends. The nearly two-hour program will introduce Polish fans to the history of both races, the details of each stage of this year’s editions, and accompanying events such as the Tour de Pologne Junior and ORLEN Tour de Pologne Amateurs.
“I warmly invite all cycling and sports fans to the presentation of the 82nd Tour de Pologne and 3rd Tour de Pologne Women. We’ve prepared a route that shows the beauty of Poland but will also be attractive in terms of sports. Every rider will find something for themselves here” said Czesław Lang, General Director of Tour de Pologne and Tour de Pologne Women.
“The route will be different than last year. There are places we’ve been to before, but also some new ones. That’s a valuable feature because variety is very important in cycling. As for the presentation, it will be rich, as always, in the TVP Sport studio. There will be route profiles, technical details, and what we’ve been trying to show for several years — the charm of places near the route. Beautiful Poland, which can shine thanks to the Tour de Pologne. And very importantly, right after the men’s race comes the women’s Tour de Pologne, which has returned to the international stage and also looks very promising” said Piotr Sobczyński, journalist and commentator for Polish Television (TVP).
Seven stages of the Tour de Pologne and three stages of the Tour de Pologne Women mean over 1,000 kilometers of competition. Thanks to a broadcast produced by Polish Television, also available on Eurosport, the races will reach fans in Poland and 65 countries around the world! This makes the events not only a great sporting spectacle but also a promotion of the regions hosting the races.
Poland will host 18 men’s and 7 women’s World Tour teams, guaranteeing top-level excitement. The Tour de Pologne is a race where victory often comes down to mere seconds. Young talents and experienced champions compete on Polish roads. Last year, the men’s race was won by Danish rider Jonas Vingegaard of Visma | Lease a Bike — a two-time Tour de France winner. Previous winners include Remco Evenepoel, Peter Sagan, Michał Kwiatkowski, and Rafał Majka. In the second edition of Tour de Pologne Women, the talented Dutch rider Laura Molenaar claimed victory.
The next chapter in the Tour de Pologne’s history will unfold in August, but on June 13, it’s worth tuning in to the race presentation on TVP Sport to discover the details of the competition. You won’t want to miss it!
