From Międzyzdroje to Szczecin by land – the second stage of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour

After a long stage inaugurating the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, the riders will remain by the Baltic Sea. On the second day of the race, they will cover 151 kilometers from Międzyzdroje to Szczecin. On the picturesque route leading along the Baltic Sea and the roads of West Pomerania, the LOTTO Sprint Prime and the Grupa transportowa Special Prime have been located.

The cyclists competing in the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour in this year’s edition of the race will have the opportunity to discover the charming corners of northern Poland. After the first stage from Gdynia to Koszalin, the race caravan will move to the coastal Międzyzdroje on Wolin Island, from where the second stage of the competition will start.

The well-known Baltic resort will host the start of the 151-kilometer stage, leading mainly along a flat route. The initial part of the competition is a ride along the road next to the Baltic Sea and the Kamień Lagoon, which guarantees beautiful scenery. After the Grupa Transportowa Special Prime, the competitors will turn south.

On the route, they will fight at the LOTTO Sprint Prime points prepared by the organizers in Kamień Pomorski, considered the first capital of West Pomerania, and then in Nowogard and Goleniów. The peloton will head towards Szczecin – a port city delighting with greenery and unique architecture.

There, on a slightly rising finish, the finish line of the struggle will be located, where we will meet the second winner of the LOTTO Stage Winner Prime and the leaders of individual classifications, including the ORLEN General Classification. The last time the Tour de Pologne visited Szczecin was at the beginning of the 21st century, when stage wins were achieved by the Estonian Janek Tombak and the Ukrainian Bogdan Bondariew. Who will prove to be the best this time? We will find out on August 4th.

At the start of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, there will be, among others, 18 UCI WorldTour teams and the Polish national team. Each of the 7 stages will be broadcast live on TVP and Eurosport, as well as on the HBO Max streaming platform, thanks to which it will reach fans from 65 countries, promoting Poland and cycling at the highest level all over the world!
