Port of Gdynia Authority SA Becomes the Start Partner of the 1st Stage of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour

Gdynia – this is where the first chapter of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour history will be written at the beginning of August. The race, held under the slogan “North-South,” will depart from the Gdynia port on August 3rd, and a day earlier, a unique team presentation will take place aboard the ORP “Błyskawica” ship in the Port of Gdynia Authority SA, which holds the title of Start Partner of the 1st stage of the 83rd Tour de Pologne.

This year’s race will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gdynia in a unique way. A colorful peloton composed of the world’s best teams will start from the coastal city on a seven-day journey through the charming corners of Poland. The first stage will be held on a demanding and long, 234-kilometer route from Gdynia to Koszalin.

The start will take place from Kościuszko Square near the Port of Gdynia Authority SA, which has become the Start Partner of the 1st stage of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The Port of Gdynia Authority SA will host top cyclists a day earlier – on August 2nd. All this is due to the ceremonial and unique team presentation, which will take place aboard the ORP “Błyskawica” ship.

We are delighted that this year’s Tour de Pologne will set off from Gdynia, a city built around its port and open to the world. The Port of Gdynia Authority SA is one of the leading ports of the southern Baltic. It specializes in handling general cargo, and an important segment of the port’s activity is also the handling of bulk cargo based on specialized terminals. This year, the Port of Gdynia Authority SA will join forces to promote Poland worldwide together with the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour.

Each of the 7 stages of the race will be broadcast on Telewizja Polska, on Eurosport channels, and on the HBO Max streaming platform, thanks to which it will reach fans in 65 countries. In this way, the event organized by Lang Team combines the promotion of sports with the promotion of the regions through which the world’s best UCI WorldTour riders will pass.
