Gdynia will host the world elite during the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour

The 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour will start on August 3rd from the Baltic Sea. The host of the start of the first stage will be Gdynia, which this year celebrates the 100th anniversary of the city. On the eve of the competition, a ceremonial presentation of the world’s best teams will take place aboard the ORP “Błyskawica” ship.

After 22 years, the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour returns to Gdynia. The biggest race in this part of Europe will set off from the Baltic Sea and will be held under the slogan “North-South”, referring to the route of this year’s edition of the race.

The start of the first stage will be hosted by Gdynia – a port city that in 2026 celebrates its centenary. Gdynia has permanently written itself into the history of Poland and is a place worth visiting – also because of the Tour de Pologne. It is known for its architecture, the Port of Gdynia, or the cult pearls of the Polish fleet, including the ORP “Błyskawica”, aboard which the team presentation will take place on August 2nd.

The next day, competitors from the leading teams will start the first, longest stage of the race, which will lead along a 234-kilometer route with the finish line in Koszalin.

The honorary start of the “Gdynia” stage of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour will take place at Kościuszko Square, from where the cyclists will cover 10 neutralized kilometers up to Jałowcowa Street, where the peloton will start competing in earnest.

It will be a great start and a beautiful beginning of the 7-day struggle in the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, which will last until August 9th. The competition will be broadcast on the channels of Telewizja Polska and Eurosport, as well as on the HBO Max streaming platform. Thanks to this, charming corners of Poland, including Gdynia, will be seen by fans in 65 countries.
