The penultimate, sixth stage of the 83rd Tour de Pologne brings an iconic showdown in the heart of Podhale

BUKOVINA RESORT, August 8 – On the penultimate day of competition in the 83rd edition of the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, riders face a 126-kilometer, highly spectacular “royal” stage. Despite the relatively short distance, the route is packed with climbs and promises huge excitement, with every chance of significantly shaking up the ORLEN General Classification.

Leaders at the Start: The Battle on Stage Six

After an thrilling Stage 5, here are the leaders who will wear the distinctive jerseys at the start line in Bukowina:

Challenge in the Tatras: Iconic Climbs and a Triple “Ściana BUKOVINA”

Shortly after the start, the peloton will contest the LOTTO Intermediate Sprint in Biały Dunajec before diving straight into the mountainous Tatra terrain. Along the 126-kilometer route, organizers have set up a series of mountain challenges:

  • LOTTO Intermediate Sprint: in Biały Dunajec,
  • PZU Mountain Sprints: in Sierockie, Słodyczki, and Pitoniówka,
  • Category 1 PZU Mountain Sprint – Ściana BUKOVINA in Gliczarów: riders will tackle this iconic, punishing climb a total of 3 times on the final laps.

Uphill Finish – The Line at Bukowina Tatrzańska

The grand finale will deliver unforgettable emotions, with the route refusing to give the riders a break right up to the finish line. The finish in Bukowina Tatrzańska is traditionally located on a steep climb. Only a true mountain specialist will be able to join the prestigious hall of Bukowina winners, which includes the likes of Rafał Majka, Remco Evenepoel, Simon Yates, and João Almeida.

The “North-South” Route: Over 1,100 km of Racing

This year’s Tour de Pologne covers over 1,100 kilometers divided into 7 demanding stages. The peloton travels from coastal Gdynia through West Pomerania, Lubusz Land, Lower Silesia, and Lesser Poland. Highlights include flat sprint finishes, the iconic Orlinek climb in Karpacz, a mountain triptych with uphill finishes at Kocierz Resort and Bukowina Tatrzańska, and a final time trial at the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine.
