Brandon McNulty is the new world champion! Last year he won the Tour de Pologne

The Elite Men’s Road Race concluded the Road World Championships held in Montreal, Canada. After an extremely exciting and fierce competition, Brandon McNulty emerged victorious, thereby claiming the rainbow jersey. In 2025, the American triumphed in the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour.

Sunday at the Road Cycling World Championships was marked by the men’s road race. The organizers prepared a spectacular, over 270-kilometer route with interval laps in Montreal for the cyclists.

After a series of attacks and reshuffles, the American Brandon McNulty found himself alone in the lead. Taking advantage of his excellent form and the uneven pace in the chasing group, he held off his rivals and claimed the world championship title in spectacular fashion. Michael Matthews from Australia and Mathieu van der Poel from the Netherlands also stood on the podium.

The world championship is the greatest success in the 28-year-old’s career.
