Poland’s biggest cycling stars are preparing to race in the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. Two outstanding champions – Rafał Majka (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) and Michał Kwiatkowski (INEOS Grenadiers) – appear on the official start list for the August race.

Only 9 days remain until the start of the Tour de Pologne. Once again part of the prestigious UCI WorldTour, the race will attract all top-division teams to Poland, along with some of the biggest names in cycling.

Two of the best Polish cyclists of the 21st century – Michał Kwiatkowski of INEOS Grenadiers and Rafał Majka of UAE Team Emirates-XRG, the current Polish national road race champion – are set to take part in their home tour. Both riders have repeatedly fought for stage wins and overall victory in the Tour de Pologne, showcasing their talents in front of their home fans.

Rafał Majka, Olympic bronze medalist from Rio de Janeiro, won the general classification of the Tour de Pologne in 2014, where he also claimed two stage victories. He added another success in 2023, defeating Matej Mohorič and… Michał Kwiatkowski.

The former world champion from Ponferrada, now racing for British team INEOS Grenadiers, won the overall Tour de Pologne in 2018, taking two stage victories along the way.

“I’m very happy to see two great champions, Michał and Rafał, on the preliminary start list for the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. For years, they’ve brought unforgettable emotions to Polish fans – also on the roads of the Tour de Pologne. Every time they raced here, they gave their all to fight for the top spots. I hope they’ll once again contend for victory this year” said Czesław Lang, General Director of the Tour de Pologne.

This year’s edition of the Tour de Pologne will take place from August 4 to 10, running from Wrocław to the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine. The race will be broadcast on TVP, Eurosport, and the MAX streaming platform, reaching fans in 65 countries!
