Preliminary squad of the Polish National Team for the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour

We have learned the names of 7 riders who have been included in the preliminary squad of the Polish national team for the fast-approaching 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The White-and-Reds will once again have the opportunity to start in the biggest race in the region and compete shoulder-to-shoulder with riders from top-division teams.

Less than 2 weeks remain until the start of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. This year’s edition of the race will be held on August 3-9 on the route from Gdynia to the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine. As every year, the starting line will feature cyclists from 18 UCI WorldTour teams, as well as invited teams with “wild cards”. Among them, traditionally, is the Polish national team, which has been invited by the organizers to participate in the Tour de Pologne.

According to the regulations of the International Cycling Union, riders from continental teams and professional teams that are not simultaneously participating in the event can compete in the colors of the Polish national team in a UCI WorldTour race, which the Tour de Pologne is.

The preliminary squad of the Polish national team includes 3 dynamic cyclists from the Czech team ATT Investments, which last year won the title of the best continental team in the world – former Polish champion Norbert Banaszek, Tobiasz Pawlak, and Marceli Bogusławski.

In addition to the aforementioned trio, the list includes two Voster Team cyclists – Jakub Kaczmarek and Patryk Stosz, who has won the LOTTO Most Active Rider Classification 3 times and once became the Best Climber of the race. The preliminary start list among the White-and-Reds also features talented climber Filip Gruszczyński from the second-division team MBH Bank CSB Telecom Fort and sprinter Radosław Frątczak from Wibatech Lubelskie Perła Polski.

The Polish national team will be one of 21 teams starting in the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The race will be broadcast on Telewizja Polska and Eurosport, as well as on the streaming platform HBO Max, thanks to which the signal from the competition will reach fans in Poland and 65 countries.
