PRESS CONFERENCE AND TEAM INTROUDCTIONS IN KRAKOW ON FRIDAY

Everything is ready for the 74th Tour de Pologne – UCI World Tour. There will be seven stages in the race, which will kick off from Krakow on Saturday, July 29th, and will wrap up with the crowning stage in Bukowina Tatrzanska, in the heart of the Tatra Mountains, on Friday, August 4th.

 

The schedule in Krakow on Friday, July 28th, will be full of events to mark the eve of the official start of the race.
The Hotel DoubleTree by Hilton (Dabska 5, 31-572 Kraków), has been established as the headquarters for all preliminary action and accreditation for the Tour de Pologne. There will be a press conference at the hotel at 2:00 pm with General Director for the Tour de Pologne Czeslaw Lang, along with the two top riders from team Bora-Hansgrohe: two-time World Champion Peter Sagan (winner of the 2011TDP) and hometown idol, Poland’s own Rafal Majka (winner of the 2014 TDP).

 

Afterwards, the official presentation of the teams will be held at 4:00 pm, against the remarkable backdrop of Krakow’s main Market Square (Rynek Glowny), with a showcase of the riders who will star in the Tour de Pologne. There are 22 teams signed up, 18 Pro Team plus the 4 Wild Cards assigned by the organizers; each team will line up 7 riders, for a total of 154 athletes on the starting grid.
