PZU on the Route of the 82nd Tour de Pologne as the Official Race Insurer

The Tour de Pologne is more than just a race – it’s about passion, determination, and the people brought together by a shared love of cycling. PZU has been with them from the very first starting signal. This year, the company once again joins Poland’s most prominent cycling event, taking on the role of official insurer of the 82nd edition of the Tour de Pologne – a prestigious race that is part of the elite UCI WorldTour series. As Poland’s largest insurance company, PZU has supported the race since 2020 and is now involved for the sixth consecutive year.

As part of this partnership, PZU will also serve as the official sponsor of the Mountain Classification of the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The insurer will also support one of the accompanying events – the Tour de Pologne Junior, Marian Więckowski Memorial, a race for children and youth that promotes physical activity from an early age.

– The Tour de Pologne is a true celebration of cycling, not only in our country but across this part of Europe. Each year, we host world-class cyclists. Organizing an event of this scale requires reliable partners who can help us ensure the best conditions and safety for both the riders and the cheering crowds. I’m glad that PZU – a brand with tremendous public trust – is with us again this year. They are a partner who understands the spirit of sport and supports it with full commitment, says Czesław Lang, General Director of the Tour de Pologne.

For PZU, the partnership with the Tour de Pologne is not only an opportunity to support top-tier sport, but also a way to promote a healthy lifestyle, safety, and physical activity among Poles.”For six years, we have proudly partnered with this wonderful event, which not only promotes physical activity but also brings people together around shared sporting excitement and values of fair play. The Tour de Pologne is an event of great importance for both Polish and international cycling, and we are thrilled to support its growth and popularity. This year, we have a special reason to be proud – for the first time, we are taking on the responsible role of Official Insurer of the 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, says Agnieszka Żebrowska, Director of Sponsorship and Prevention at PZU.

The 82nd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour will start on Monday, August 4 and run until Sunday, August 10. First held in 1928, this multi-stage cycling race is the only Polish event in the WorldTour category. It forms part of the UCI WorldTour – cycling’s equivalent of the Champions League, organized by the International Cycling Union (UCI).

This year’s edition features seven stages – starting in Wrocław and finishing with an individual time trial near the Wieliczka Salt Mine. Covering over 1,000 kilometers, riders will face demanding mountain routes, including challenging climbs through the Sudetes Mountains.
