Michał Kwiatkowski in the preliminary squad of Netcompany INEOS!

The best Polish road cyclist, Michał Kwiatkowski, has found himself in the preliminary squad of Netcompany INEOS for the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. Currently, the Pole is racing in the Tour de France, and a few weeks ago, he won the national championship title in the individual time trial.

This year’s edition of the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour is fast approaching. We are getting to know the rosters of subsequent teams and riders whom we will see on the route from Gdynia to the „Wieliczka” Salt Mine between August 3rd and 9th. The preliminary squad of Netcompany INEOS, one of the leading teams in recent years, includes the best Polish cyclist – Michał Kwiatkowski.

The world champion from Ponferrada has a victory in the overall race under his belt, and he has claimed stage victories twice. In addition, Kwiatkowski triumphed in the Milan-San Remo monument, twice won Strade Bianche and the Amstel Gold Race, and the rich list of victories next to his name also includes Tirreno-Adriatico, Donostia San Sebastian, E3 Harelbeke, and 2 stages of the Tour de France. Currently, Michał Kwiatkowski, along with his teammates, is racing in the „Grande Boucle”.

Besides the Pole, those slated to start in the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour include sprinter Sam Welsford, the dynamic Sam Watson and Axel Laurance, as well as Magnus Sheffield, who four years ago placed 2nd in the individual time trial stage of the Polish race. The preliminary squad is completed by Connor Swift along with Artem Schmidt – the current US time trial champion.

Netcompany INEOS is one of the 18 UCI WorldTour teams that will take part in the 83rd Tour de Pologne. The race will be broadcast on Polish Television (Telewizja Polska), Eurosport and the HBO Max streaming platform, allowing it to reach fans in 65 countries.
