Strong Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe lineup for the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour

Tour de Pologne consistently remains a part of the prestigious UCI WorldTour, thanks to which the world’s leading teams come to Poland every year. One of them is Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, currently the second team in the Union Cycliste Internationale ranking. Dynamic Jordi Meeus and Danny van Poppel, as well as Aleksandr Vlasov, are set to compete in the colors of the German team in the Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour.

The 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour will take place on August 3-9, and 18 top-division teams will stand at the starting line of the race. Among them is Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, one of the best teams in the world. Its cyclists will be a force to be reckoned with in the fight for the top places in Poland.

Particularly good results can be expected from the riders of the German team in flat and hilly terrain. All thanks to Jordi Meeus and Danny van Poppel – the former has been one of the leading sprinters for years, and his achievements include victories in the Copenhagen Sprint, a stage of the Tour de France, and one-day races in Belgium.

In turn, Danny van Poppel is a versatile rider who performs well in both one-day races and fast finishes, where he can finish brilliantly and perfectly lead out his sprinter. The former Dutch champion triumphed in a stage of the Tour de Pologne in the past and his palmares also include a stage of the Vuelta a España, among others.

In mountainous terrain, the team will be able to count on Aleksandr Vlasov, who has placed in the top tens of Grand Tours in the past. He has also won the Tour de Romandie, Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, and Giro dell’Emilia, as well as individual stages in UCI WorldTour events.

The seven-man preliminary roster of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe is completed by Finn Fisher-Black, Frederik Wandahl and Callum Thornley.

The German team will be one of 21 squads at the start of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour. The struggles of the world’s best teams will be broadcast on TVP and Eurosport channels, as well as on the HBO Max platform, promoting Poland and cycling all over the world.
