Time for Lubusz classics! Stage 3 leads from Gorzów Wielkopolski to Zielona Góra
GORZÓW WIELKOPOLSKI, August 5 – After dynamic racing in West Pomerania, the peloton of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour heads south. On the third day of competition, the riders move to the Lubusz Voivodeship to battle on a route connecting Gorzów Wielkopolski with Zielona Góra. Featuring rolling, varied terrain, this stage promises an exciting clash between breakaway riders and general classification contenders.
Leaders at the Start: The Battle to Defend Valuable Jerseys Following a dynamic finish in Szczecin, the leaders who will wear the jerseys at the start of Stage 3 have been confirmed:

The Lubusz Test: 193 km with a Demanding Finish In line with this year’s motto—”North-South”—Stage 3 connects the region’s two largest cities. Awaiting the riders is a 193-kilometer course through the scenic yet challenging roads of the Lubusz Voivodeship. The route features multiple points where riders will battle for points and bonus seconds:
- 3 LOTTO Intermediate Sprints: in Strzelce Krajeńskie, Świebodzin, and Sulechów
- 2 Special Primes: in Skwierzyna and Międzyrzecz
- 1 PZU Mountain Prime (Cat. 3): in Przytok
Uphill Finish in Zielona Góra – An Opportunity for Puncheurs Zielona Góra will serve as the heart of the final showdown. In the closing section of the stage, the terrain begins to climb significantly. A key moment could be the Cat. 3 Mountain Prime in Przytok, located just 12 kilometers before the finish line—an ideal launchpad for a decisive attack to thin out the peloton before a spectacular finish in the capital of Polish winemaking.
The “North-South” Route: Over 1,100 km of Racing This year’s Tour de Pologne spans over 1,100 kilometers across 7 demanding stages. The peloton will travel from coastal Gdynia through West Pomerania, the Lubusz Land, Lower Silesia, and Lesser Poland. Highlights along the route include flat finishes for the sprinters, the iconic climb to Orlinek in Karpacz, a mountain triptych with finishes at Kocierz Resort and Bukowina Tatrzańska, and a final time trial at the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine.
