Star-studded line-up of UAE Team Emirates-XRG for the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour!

The best team of last year’s Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour will once again come to Poland with a very strong line-up. This time, among the riders of the team from the United Arab Emirates, we will see, among others, Jhonatan Narvaez, Jan Christen, and Joao Almeida – a former winner of the Tour de Pologne. The UAE Team Emirates-XRG riders certainly have an appetite for triumph in the ORLEN General Classification!

Less than 3 weeks remain until the start of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour, which will take place from August 3-9. The race will start in Gdynia, on the Baltic Sea and will end near the “Wieliczka” Salt Mine, where – just like a year ago – the seven-day competition will be crowned by an individual time trial stage. Back then, the victory in the ORLEN General Classification was sealed by Brandon McNulty from the UAE Team Emirates-XRG squad, which simultaneously triumphed in the Decathlon Team Classification.

This year, the formation from the United Arab Emirates will again come to Poland with a very strong roster, led by Joao Almeida, who knows the taste of triumph on the Vistula. His achievements include winning the general classification and 2 stages in 2021. This is part of his rich palmares, which also includes victories in the Itzulia Basque Country, Tour de Suisse, Tour de Romandie and 2nd place in last year’s Vuelta – one of cycling’s grand tours.

The UAE Team Emirates-XRG team is famous for the depth of its roster and will once again be able to play the race in various ways. Also announced for the start in the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour is the 5-time Giro d’Italia stage winner Jhonatan Narvaez, famous for his active and combative riding. The team’s preliminary roster also includes the dynamic Jan Christen, who feels great in difficult terrain, the new Swiss champion.

The preliminary line-up of UAE Team Emirates-XRG is completed by the classics specialist – Benoit Cosnefroy, the Belgian individual time trial champion – Rune Herregodts, as well as dedicated domestiques – Mikkel Bjerg and Julius Johansen. Without a doubt, the UAE Team Emirates-XRG team will be one of the main favorites to reach for victory in the ORLEN General Classification of the 83rd Tour de Pologne UCI WorldTour.

Traditionally, all top division teams will stand at the start of the race, as well as the Polish National Team.
